Meet Magic! Can you believe that we mistook this giant hunk of love for a feral? He was trapped by someone who had lost her brown tabby cat. It was a Sunday and the shelter was closed so she called us for advice on what to do. We offered to take him to a vet to get him neutered, and planned to have her release him where she had found him since he was feral (we thought). But the vet found that Magic had an abscess so we held him for a few weeks to make sure that the wound healed OK (he got a long acting antibiotic shot). As his wound healed, Magic began to show signs that maybe he was not feral after all, but just scared about been trapped and injured. Soon he was begging to be per and loved on so we are looking for an indoor home for him where he will be kept safe. He has not shown any interest in going back outside. He prefers to crawl into bed for cuddles. With some good nutrition, Magic has grown and grown and grown - and now weighs about 14 pounds (could be more by now). If you want a giant cuddly bear mini black panther, Magic is the kitty for you. His adoption fee is $40, quite a deal for a cat who has been neutered, microchipped for identification, up to date on his shots, tested FeLV/FIV negative, dewormed and all that vet care.
