Meet Murphy! Murphy's story begins with when we rescued her mother Molly, a calico, in early March. We were contacted by people who were feeding her and were worried because she had a badly infected wound on her rear and was very pregnant. They could not afford to take Molly to a vet. So we took Molly in to see a vet and placed her in a foster home so she could be treated with antibiotics, heal up, and have her babies in safety. Around midnight March 22 and into the early hours of March 23, Molly gave birth to five kittens, including Murphy, the only female. Murphy is a sweet and bold kitten - eager to play but also keen to be pet and snuggle.. She and her littermates have been spayed (or neutered), microchipped for identification, and vaccinated against rabies and are up to date on their FVRCP vaccinations. Kittens under 4 months of age will need one more FVRCP booster when they are at least 16 weeks old. Their mom tested negative for FeLV and FIV (two cat diseases) on intake and again when she was spayed, so her babies should be negative as well. Her adoption fee is $80 (or two for $160 as xhe would enjoy going to her new home with a buddy to be her playmate). Adopters must plan to keep her safe indoors.
